Kuskokwim is feeling effects of freight delay

In 1934, the Anchorage Daily Times reported that food stuffs and other supplied were running low on the Kuskokwim due to the delay in shipments from the outside.

Dr. Carter, who was interested in a mining property near Georgetown, reported that “many of the people are down to the simplest diet” and that the “gasoline supply along the river also is considerably reduced”.
