Introduction of Domestic Reindeer into Alaska
Sheldon Jackson describes how domestic reindeer were introduced into Alaska. We learn that a George Fredericks sent a letter to one of Sheldon’s partners, informing them that Fredericks was “was just ready to go to the Kuskokwim in regard to our plans for moving the [reindeer] herd in the early part of the winter”.
